Edward Castaño, Founder & President

Ed is completing his MBA and MS in Environment & Resources at Stanford University. Prior to attending Stanford, Ed spent 5 months traveling through the developing countries of the world, gaining a broad perspective that would inspire him to pursue a career of social entrepreneurship.  In his previous life, Ed served as a management consultant at Bain & Company, and was part of Intuit’s Corporate Strategy Group.

Brian Young, Web Developer

Brian has been working at Stanford University as a web interface designer for the past ten years.  In 2002, he co-founded ThinkTank Learning, a college admissions consulting and academic tutoring company based in Cupertino.  Brian recently completed his Masters in Learning, Design, and Technology at the Stanford School of Education. A traveler to over 25 countries, he has strong interests in cultural identities, mobile learning and open access in education.

Susanna Kim, Writer

Susanna was formerly a correspondent with the Community Newspaper Company in Massachusetts and has interests in public policy, international development, censorship and social enterprise. She was a Research Associate at HBS and also worked for Apple Inc. as a Management Administrator.  Susana recently completed her Masters in Journalism at the Stanford Department of Communication.

Molly Robin, Writing Intern

Molly is a double major in economics and environmental studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz.  She previously worked with Think Local First, County of Santa Cruz to promote collaboration amongst, and support of, local businesses.  She is interested in reconciling our goals for economic growth with the need to preserve the planet.
